The summer vacations are really close and usually, that period represents a reduction in the number of corporate trips.  This period also represent a considerable growth in the number of leisure trips but their net effect on the airlines is relatively unimportant.

It is important to mention that for the last 24 months, North American airlines have established record occupancy rate.  At this time, the occupancy rate is of 78.1% for all airlines in operations in North America.  No need to tell you that the planes are full!

All this said, it is a good preamble to address the importance of advance booking.  Advance booking is one of the key performance indicators Groupe Encore watches it very closely and shared with upper management.  For best results, the rule of thumb would be to book 14 days in advance – whichever the destination.  If the deadline of 14 days is difficult to achieve, a second objective, 7 days in advance – can still bring substantial savings.

Without hesitation, advance booking will be beneficial on the price of a ticket.  As we are getting closer to summer vacation, why not take advantage to add this habit and customize it when we plan a trip.
